Employees overwhelm Committee with offerings

Last July 16, 2012, the Riverside Family and the community celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  A Triduum Mass was celebrated from July 13 to 16, 2012.  The different offices and departments shared goods as offerings, which were originally intended for the St. Mary’s Home for the Aged.

But after four days of concelebrated masses, the offerings were overflowing, so much so that the Donation Committee was able to divide them among three institutions, namely:  St. Mary’s Home for the Aged, Missionaries of Charity, and Domus Dei (the home for retired Diocesan priests).  When the Committee Members arrived at the St. Mary’s Home for the Aged, they were told that the goods given to them were only secondary.  What counts the most was their presence. “We always expect and look forward to your next visit,” says Lola Bukay, “Our prayers for the whole Riverside Family is the only small thing that we could offer”.

The Donation Committee would like to thank all those who shared their love offerings.  May you continue to be a blessing to everyone.
