Grease is the word this holiday season.
It was no surprise again this year during the celebration of the RMCI Employees’ Day when the Riverside College, Inc., ran away with top honors with their well-produced rendition of the musical, Grease. The crowd was visibly seen humming and swaying to the familiar tunes of this musical made famous by the silver screen portrayal of John Travolta as the ultra-cool Danny and Olivia Newton-John as the shy and demure Sandy.
First runner-up was the Ancillary group with their all-out performance of Disney’s High School Musical, followed by the HR /Materials Management / Strategic Support group with their own version of Lea Salonga’s Miss Saigon.
As a special number, the crowd was also treated to an awesome cheer dance routine by the Department of Pediatrics who handily won over the other medical departments during their own Christmas Party last December 15, 2011. Another notable attraction for the night was the photobooth manned by the College’s Instructional Media Center and the Hospital’s Marketing & Client Relations Office. Employees had an awesome time striking different poses for our cameramen.
Minor and major raffle prizes comprising of cash and appliances were awarded throughout the night. The grand prizes for this year included a P10,000.00 cash prize, a gas range, and a tablet computer.
